Who is DJ Joe?
Hello there! I’m Joe Pascarella, owner and founder of DJ Joe Mobile Entertainment. I was born and raised in Rochester, NY. I’ve been living down south since the summer of 2004 and I really enjoy it! The weather is great, the people are nice and it’s a great place to live! I love meeting new people and learning new things!
As for being a DJ, it all started when I was a kid. I loved music so much, but I couldn’t sing or dance. I played drums and I loved every genre of music. I was always interested in being around music, sound equipment, lights and stages. I grew up in a great church where I had the opportunity to help run the sound, lights and music. I also had the privilege to travel around with a local band for many years when I was a teenager, and was able to learn so much about operating professional sound and lighting systems. This great experience had me hooked, and I knew that I wanted to be involved with music and sound in some way or another. I wanted to entertain people by playing music and letting them dance and have the time of their lives!
Things begin to change and good things happen! 
Well, after high school, using my old home stereo system to throw parties wasn’t cutting it anymore, like it did in high school, so I invested in my first DJ mixer. It was on clearance for $150 and now I thought I was a real pro! A professional amplifier and a pair of speakers soon followed. I continued to DJ small parties and events as a hobby, and I was having a blast. I loved making people dance, laugh and have a great time. This was a good thing and I wanted to do a lot more of it.
In 1998, a good friend approached me to DJ her wedding. I thought she was kidding at first, but she wasn’t. This was going to be my first wedding as a DJ and I was nervous! But once I started it, I knew it was for me. All that experience with sound and microphones came in handy! The ceremony, the announcements, the dinner music, the atmosphere and the DANCING… I loved it all! That night, DJ Joe was in the house! And he hasn’t stopped ever since! 
Ever since my first wedding back in 1998, so many things have changed and business has been great. I’ve done so many different types of weddings, parties and events. I’ve been learning, growing and building a great business. I’ve attended DJ conferences and workshops. I have a top of the line sound system and an amazing lighting system. I have knowledge, experience and education. One thing that has not changed is my passion for people and all genres of music! I will make your special event or occasion absolutely amazing!
